Bristol On 6th April 31105 was stabled in Platform 2 with 72630 999606 & 9714. On 11th 35028 Clan Line arrived with the VSOE Pullmans from Victoria at 13.11, returning at 16.38. On 12th 70000 Britannia arrived at 14.05 with a 09.43 from Victoria Cathedrals Express returning at 17.36.

Bristol Barrow Road On 24th March 66585 worked a 09.04 grit stone hoppers to Theale routed via Parkway to Chipping Sodbury up goods loop where the loco ran round and then continued to Theale via Bath, Westbury East Loop and Newbury.
Bristol Parkway On 17th April 66544 worked down to Avonmouth at 08.31 with a stone train and 37409 propelled 977025 Caroline up at 12.09 to Ealing Broadway. On 20th 47580 and 57601 top and tailed the Cornish Statesmen 06.07 Lancaster to Penzance charter down at 13.40.

The empty log train from Gloucester was worked by 66745 on 3rd and 18th April. The Westbury to Earles Sidings cement empties, which until recently ran via the Severn Tunnel, now runs via Parkway at around 14.00 and has been noted with 66547 on 30th March and 66620 on 13th April. The Fridays only car train from Washwood Heath to Southampton, was worked by 66078 at 18.35 on 30th March. The Biomass empties from Doncaster to Portbury resumed on 5th April with 66701/733, 66701/733 on 6th, 66717/740 on 13th, and 66720/723 on 16th and 17th, 66720/727 on 18th to 20th. The empty tanks from Theale to Robeston were worked by 60074 on 27th March, 60079 on 29th and 3rd April, 60063 on 10th and 14th. The Wentloog to Millbrook freightliner was worked by 70008 on 30th March, 70018 on 2nd and 4th April, 70001 on 10th, 70019 on 11th and 12th. Other locomotives noted have been 66502/516/517/562/588/592.
Stoke Gifford Freightliner engines noted on various coal trains have been 66413, 66507/509/518/522/529/530/531/535/567/585, 66616, 70003/06/17.
Westerleigh The Robeston tanks arrived with 60007 between 26th March and 3rd April, 60091 on 4th, 60074 on 5th 60079 from 9th to 18th. The Lindsey tanks were worked by 60011 on 29th March, 60074 on 2nd and 21st April, 60071 on 7th April, and 66161 on 12th.
Filton On 4th April 66745 worked the log train from Teigngrace to Chirk up at 17.41. On 14th 66509 worked down stone to Theale at 10.17 and on 18th 66615 worked up stone from Barrow Road to Pengam On 21st 66508 worked coal empties down at 07.17.
Pilning On 1st April the Severn Tunnel Junction to Gloucester line was closed and several freights were diverted via Bristol, including DRS 66304 with the Daventry to Wentloog Tesco liner at 12.03 and GBRf 66718 on empty scrap wagons from Cardiff to Doncaster up at 13.04.

Portbury Branch The car train from Warrington has been noted with 66023 on 30th March, 66076 on 12th April and 66103 on 17th. Coal train have been noted with 66507/509/518/529/531/596, 70003/06.
Bath On 28th March 66037 worked down at 12.14 with a Westbury to Newport ADJ engineers train and 67025 arrived at 13.08 with the VSOE Pullman. On 30th 66547 worked the Westbury to Earles empty cement tanks up at 13.08. On 12th April 66091 worked down at 06.05 with bogie hoppers to Westbury On 21st 67025 departed at 08.39 with a Basingstoke to Penzance charter, returning at 21.23.

Melksham On 10th April the radio survey train worked down at 10.50 formed of coaches 9701 977868 72612 and 31465. On 18th 37409 and 975025 worked down at about 14.25 with an inspection special 07.46 from Ealing Broadway and returned via Westbury East Loop and Newbury.
Westbury 66520 spent several days here from 27th March shunting engineers trains operated by Freightliner. On 2nd April the DBS yard pilot 08737 was replaced by 08633 which arrived on a low loader from Crewe IEMD. 08737 left early on 3rd and was delivered to Tees Yard for a C exam. On 6th 31285 was stabled in the Patney Siding in front of the Panel Box on a structure gauging train. On 11th April 35028 Clan Line worked the VSOE Pullman from Victoria to Bristol via Hawkeridge Junction at 12.15. The next day (12th) 70000 Britannia passed at 13.30 with a 09.43 Victoria to Bristol returning at 18.26 towards Warminster.
