A view from the south end of Milton Keynes station showing the new truncated platform 1 which was shortened at the south end and lengthened at the north end. Originally it was a terminal platform and is now the new through Up Slow. Bay platform 2A is now used occasionally for the Southern services. Platform 2 is now principally the turn round platform except it has pointwork at the northern end so trains can either leave or arrive off the Down Slow line.
