Newcastle meetings are held at Room 1, Brunswick Methodist Hall, Brunswick Place (behind Fenwick's Store), Newcastle NE1 7BJ, on the second Thursday of each month from September to May, commencing at 18.30.

Darlington meetings are held at The Scout Building, Widdowfield Street, Darlington DL3 6NF, on the third Thursday of each month from September to May inclusive, commencing at 19.00. If travelling by car, there is adequate free street parking around the venue.

For those arriving by rail, the venue is close to North Road Station, on the Darlington to Bishop Auckland line. Leave the station and walk ahead along Station Road. Cross over Hopetown Lane and Widdowfield Street is directly ahead, with the Scout Building on the left hand corner. Walking time under 5 minutes.

The venue is approximately 1.5 miles from the main Darlington Bank Top Station. Leave the station via the Northern exit (past the taxi ranks) and turn left into Parkgate. Turn right at the roundabout along the dual carriageway (Saint Cuthberts Way A167), then bear left at the next roundabout (A167). At the next roundabout turn right into Northgate (A167) and proceed along this road for approximately half a mile. Bear left into Hopetown Lane (Station Road), and the venue is about a hundred yards on the left. Walking time approx. 40 minutes.

Buses operate from near Bank Top Station along Northgate to Hopetown Lane, but as services and timings are subject to change it is best to check locally or on the web.

Both Society members and non-members are very welcome to attend our meetings
