ASHFORD:
The branch meets on the first
Monday of every month throughout the year at the Elwick Club, Church Road,
Ashford. Visitors are very welcome.
Meetings commence at 7.30pm. The room is available from 6.30pm and refreshments
are available.
The Elwick Club is within five minutes walking distance from Ashford
International station. From the M20 at Junctions 9 from the west or 10 from the
east follow the signs to Ashford International station. Ample parking is
available in the nearby Vicarage Lane public car park. The Elwick Club can be
found on the opposite side of Church Road to the Central Library facing Queen
Street.

MAIDSTONE:
For the first time this year the branch is holding two afternoon meetings in Maidstone. These will be held at the Trinity Foyer, Church Street, Maidstone and visitors will be very welcome.
The meetings will commence at 2.30pm. The room will be open from 1.30pm and refeshments will be available during the interval.
The Trinity Foyer is within five minutes walking distance from Maidstone East station and five minutes walking distance from Chequers Centre Bus station. There is pay and display car parking in Church Street and a multi storey car park in King Street. The Foyer is at the corner of Church Street and Marsham Street. From the M20 at Junction 7 take the A249 towards Maidstone. Turn right at the traffic lights into Union Street and then left into Church Street.

As can bee seen from the 2008 programme a wide variety of topics and
speakers are presented and an audience of between 50 and 60 is drawn from a
wide area of Kent. Members travel from as far as Thanet in the east, Dungeness
in the south, Sevenoaks in the west and Strood in the north.
In addition to the main speaker of the day there are sales stands for
second hand books, photographic prints and Colour Rail slides. A video rental
service to members is available and a very popular raffle takes place during
the interval.
Entrance is free to members and visitors. A voluntary donation of £1.00
is requested to help defray the meeting expenses.
