The South Essex Branch of the RCTS organises comprehensive programme of indoor meetings for railway enthusiasts in the South Essex and East London area. Over the winter period between September and June, monthly meetings are held with invited speakers giving talks and slide presentations on a range of railway subjects. Areas of interest include modern operations, overseas railways, the heritage scene and memories of the days of steam.
Indoor meetings are held at Shenfield Parish Hall, 60 Hutton Road, Shenfield.
The hall is 5-10 minutes walk from Shenfield Station (turn left outside and walk up the main road towards Brentwood about 300 yards: the hall is on the right before the mini-roundabout). Parking is available. Meetings start at 19:30 and a donation of £2.00 (RCTS members) / £2.50 (non-members) is requested.
