Mystery Photographs

The Courtney Haydon Collection

Though it is true that the photographs shown in this "Mystery Photos" web feature are part of the Courtney Haydon Collection, they are undoubtedly the work of the late Peter Green. Unfortunately these are not catalogued, so the purpose of this web feature is to uncover as much information as possible regarding the photos and particularly the "Location" and ,if we can, the date. Thank you for all the help already given and for any further information.

NOTICEBOARD

Monday 31/1/11 I have set up a Yahoo Group as a discussion forum so that you may have a quick way of answering each others questions, rather than wait for comments to be approved. If you wish to join and receive the group e-mails the address to subscribe is rctsmysteryphotos-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Genuine contributors only please. If you are an RCTS member please include your membership number.

Wed.21st.Sept. Following a recommendation from the Society Webmaster please use the shortened form "Jct." for the word "Junction". This is in line with the standard R.O. abbreviations. Thank You

Friday 23/3/12 - New Search Feature - the "Location" boxes will now display a list of locations matching the text entered into the box, which will avoid downloading the complete list every time and hopefully speed things up. If it doesn't work as you expect please e-mail the webmaster!

Monday 24/9/12 Please Note Films G-154/5 are in reverse order. The later frames of G-155 show the M&GNJRS organised trip from Leicester to Haywards Heath of 7/4/73, as far as Kew East Jct. G-154 takes up the record from New Kew Jct.

Thursday 1st. Nov. Please use the "Location" box which is above the "Comment" area to enter as precise a PHOTO location as you can. The location box under the photograph is used in a more general way.

Friday 11/1/13 Following a recent suggestion I will prepare each month an Excel spreadsheet recording the latest comments to earlier postings - in this first case postings from Dec. 2012 and previously. If you wish to have a copy please send an e-mail to mysteryphotographs@rcts.org.uk Please note the correction to the E-mail Address

25/4/13 Apologies for the short notice. I need to take a break so there will not be any postings for the week of April 30th.

Tues April 30th. Please Note that from Mon. 6th. May to Mon. 3rd. June inclusive, postings will be on Monday only. Note also that the colour photos are from a different source. The photo archivist would like to know the location and, if possible, a date. Many Thanks.
