Looking back at Dewsbury East Junction (L&Y) - Dewsbury Market Place branch to right. The L&Y main line towards Mirfield is straight ahead and, in the background, it is crossed by Headfield Road and the former Midland Railway branch to Dewsbury Savile Town goods. The latter was part of the MR's planned new line from Royston Junction to Shipley (and as far as it actually reached).
