Correction . Checking my notes, D271 came off the tour at Foss Islands Junction, not Layerthorpe. The tour was running late because D244 had failed at Goose Hill Jct (Normanton) and we had to wait for (D)5844 to rescue us and haul the train to York Yard, where D271 took over.

Looking south, D271 is standing clear on the entrance line to Foss Islands Goods Station. Between the two railwaymen and the loco I can just discern the rodding to the trap points at the boundary between BR and the DVLR. We are only a couple of coach lengths away from York (Layerthorpe) station.
