Winchester Junction looking south - the train is leaving the single line from Alton and heading towards Southampton. A DEMU to Alton is waiting to go onto the single line. The signal box was in the fork of the junction on the opposite side of the train.

Winchester Junction. Tour train coming off MHR and joining Basingstoke - Southamprton main line. MHR train to Alton formed of 2H or 3H waiting to pass onto the branch
