This looks as though it might be a short stub of the former Basford Jct Bennerley Jct branch. This ran parallel to the MR Leen Valley Line for a short distance before turning off to the North West, just south of Bulwell Market Station. New flats forming part of Crabtree Farm Estate can be seen to have already been built across the route of the line.
