location: Letterston Junction
Letterston Junction signal box looking generally towards Fishguard. The Letterston/Trecwn branch trails in behind the box. Lifted track in the foreground was the former No2 Up Goods Loop. The line from Manorowen to Letterston Jct had been singled by this time as the token exchange apparatus is visible.

location: Letterston Junction
The No 2 Up Goods Loop was taken out of use on the 13 June 1966 and subsequently recovered. The box seen here was closed, and the signal to come off the Trecwn branch was renewed as an elevated disc, on the 30 July 1972.

Thanks Tony. So this photo must be dated late 60's to early 70's.
27/08/2012 from John Wickens
location: Letterson Junction
At last a photograph of Letterson Junction. Considering it was a large layout with 2 goods loops in both directions plus the Trecwn branch, I am surprised more photos either were not taken or are lying undiscovered in drawers or filing cabinets. Does anyone know if the late John Morris of Whitland fame had any in his collection, or did Lens of Sutton snap the location for their extensive archive?
