We are standing at Maesglas Jct. looking west (down) along the South Wales mian line. The maze of tracks in front of the diesel shunter is Alexandra Dock Jct. and the shunter is coming off or propelling onto the line to/from Waterloo Jct. The rear of Waterloo Loop Signal Box is in front of the overbridge on the left. Ebbw Jct diesel depot is to the right of the rear of the Western hauled train.

Alexandra Docks Jct., Newport, from the ADR lines above the GW main line. Western on up express and 08 shunting the junction sidings with loaded steel bolsters. We are looking towards Cardiff.
