location: Ramsey North
Terminus of the Ramsey branch in Cambridgeshire. Opened 22/7/1863 and went to GER ownership in 1875. There was a proposal to link, to a line at Somesham but it did not happen and Somesham then came Ramsey East. The branch closed to passengers 6/10/1947 and freight Dec 1973. The GNR ran the line for the GER as it had no conection to the line which joined the GNR at Holme.
