On 22nd April 1967 a line of three or four diesel raibuses was observed stored at Cowlairs works, but our member was unable to identify them. The Dec. 1966 RO states that the row of railbuses (that had previously been reported as Sc79965/6/7/9) was still present in Oct., but DMU Disposals (Butlin, 2006) shows 79965/6/7 as disposed of to TWW Inverkeithing in Oct. 1966 and 79969 as broken up at Cowlairs in Jan. 1968. Can anyone verify which railbuses were at Cowlairs in April 1967? Railbuses 79974/9 were stored at Eastfield by Nov. 1966, so could have been involved.
