A member has seen a postcard showing his great grandmother in front of Gate House 78 which was located just east of Eye Green station, on the M&GN Peterborough to Wisbech line. He believes that the card was in the collection of Herbert Gilby who worked on the M&GN. Does anyone know the present status of the Gilby collection, or have a copy of any postcard showing the Gate House?

The only known original of the postcard was in the extensive collection of Herbert Gilbey, an M&GN signalman who had allowed copies to be made, but the M&GN Society has been unable to trace anything at all of the collection he still held on his death. (MB, ACW)
