HST at 40 / NRM

In the early hours of Friday 30th September 2016 there is a movement from Laira to York NRM for an event on Sunday 2nd October 2016

0242 Laira York NRM via Exeter, Bridgewater, Bristol TM, Cheltenham spa, Bromsgrove, Bordesley JN, Tamworth, Derby, Chesterfield, Beighton JN, Swinton, pontefract Baghill, Milford ,York NRM arr 1233.

It's should be HST Power Cars 43002 Sir Kenneth Grange/43185 Great Western it's expected that 43185 will be in Inter City Swallow livery

On Sunday 2nd October both Power cars will be on show at NRM from 1230pm to 1500pm were members of the public will be able to learn all about the introdution of HST 40 years ago this October 1976

Also Sir Kenneth Grange will also be on hand to hear first hand sir Kenneth Grange experiences when designing what is widely known to be BR most successful British train ever.

Entry to NRM is Free

It's expected that both Power cars will Return south West on Sunday evening or early hours of Monday morning

Realtime trains as got the northbound movement as usual the timings are subject to alteration if there are any infrastructure problems

In case anyone is in any doubt, it's a bit stronger then "it's expected that 43185 will be in Inter City Swallow livery". Internal GWR documents are quite clear that it is (well, will be by Saturday night)!
