Barmouth Bridge Fire

Post by RichardCoulthurst » Sun Oct 09, 2016 5:02 pm

I haven't seen much about it apart from local news reports but apparently there was a fire on early Tuesday morning on Barmouth Bridge leading to closure of the line. The line is still closed but is due to re-open tomorrow (Monday). Replacement buses have been operating from Barmouth to Tywyn although the pedestrian footpath across the bridge has remained open. I don't have any details about the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage. Can anyone add to this?

It will be in the December RO (that is, the next submission) if you can wait that long! :D
