40 Years of Computer Development on British Railways

Bottoms to TOPS
At the next meeting in Manchester of the North West Group of the Railway & Canal Historical Society, Graham Boyes will give a talk entitled “Bottoms to Tops, 40 years of computer development on British Railways.”
The talk will be given at the RCHS meeting at the Friends Meeting House, 6 Mount Street, Manchester, M2 6NS on Saturday 14th December 2019 starting at 2:00pm.
The meeting venue is a short walk from the ‘Metrolink’ St. Peter’s Square stop in the city centre.

As I was intimately involved with BR computing devts over 25 of those years I would be most interested . However long distance travel to Manchester on a Saturday just before Xmas is not likely to be the most comfortable / agreeable experience! .

For those unwilling to travel north to Manchester in the winter the talk is being repeated in Birmingham on Saturday, 21st March, 2020 and in London on Monday, 30th March, 2020. Please check the details nearer the time on the Railway & Canal Historical Society website. (www.rchs.org.uk) Non-members are always welcome at the meetings.
