On 9th August, the Branch, by kind invitation of Adrian Shooter, made a visit to his Beeches Light Railway for a sumptuous pig roast buffet and trips over the 2’ gauge line with all three forms of traction in use. Located in the small shed was “Major Gerald Scott” 4wDM MR 21619 of 1957 whilst the larger shed housed “Colonel Frederick Wylie” 4wDH HE 9349 of 1994 rebuilt AK 2004 and post office subway car No 37. Amongst the varied stock and in the larger shed was a replica bogie coach to American style built by the FR in 2004. The day was blessed with excellent weather which provided ideal conditions for photography and made a fine day for all.
