European Railway Agency

The Agency aims to provide Member States and the European Commission with technical assistance with railway safety and interoperability. The EU Commission has adopted legislation to facilitate an integrated European railway area. Much information has been collated relevant to the member countries and this is available from this site.

This is a very comprehensive site for Italian Railway followers. Many pictures, drawings and descriptions are shown of current and past practice.

Scandinavian Railways Society

On this site can be found information and news from the S.R.S. along with details of upcoming events. There is also a selection of articles about the railways of Scandinavia along with photographs taken of trains, light rail, trams and other railway related subjects from Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. The links offer further study of Scandinavian railways for enthusiasts and travellers alike.

The Continental Railway Circle.   RCTS member's site

The C.R.C. is a U.K. based group catering for enthusiasts interested in main-line, industrial and preserved railways outside of the U.K.. Regular meetings are held in London and Sheffield usually taking the form of slide or video shows also affording members to exchange news and gossip. The C.R.C. publishes the "Continental Railway Journal" and reports on current developments on railways worldwide. A useful feature is a link to a Yahoo Newsgroup giving members advanced notice of railtours etc.

The Finnish Railway Museum

The title only partly describes this site. There are many links to other Finnish railway organisations which we believe you will find of interest. For those who will not be visiting the museum this site has web exhibitions. Exhibition information, news, forthcoming events plus all other topics to be expected from a well-planned site. The German Railway Museum

This site is excellent for gaining information of German railways past and present. Developments of the rail network, technical advances in rolling stock, descriptions of notable trains many enhanced with excellent pictures can be viewed. Locations of other rail museums in Germany are listed. Opening times and how to get there are shown.

The Railfaneurope.net Stock Lists

These stock lists contain technical data on locomotives, shunters, EMUs, and DMUs on all European Railways, both national and private. Thumbnail photographs of most of the railway vehicles are given which link to larger photographs in the picture gallery.
