Liveries old and new, and liveries that cannot be repeated

Our November meeting was “Liveries old and New/Liveries that cannot be repeated”, presented by Branch member Stuart Malcolm.

Stuart conducted the attendees on a tour of the UK, recording locomotive liveries, including Railfeight Distribution, Transrail, Mainline and LoadHaul, which became EW&S, subsequently EWS. Other liveries included Chiltern Railways, Euro Cargo Rail with continental logos, Maritime, Construction Sector, 2nd Fragonset, Advenza Railfeight, Freightliner, Freightliner Powerhaul, Freightliner G&W, Fastline, ROG Europhenix, Greater Anglia ONE, 66721 NHS, GBRF, Colas, Northern Belle Pullman & Stobart Pullman, et al.

Locations included Houndwood, Redhouse Castle (binliner), Craigentinny, 66779 Evening Star in Edinburgh, 4 Cl.66s exhibiting 3 different liveries at Hatfield & Stainforth, Crewe Open Day, Clapham Junction, Northern Belle livery and DRS Logo at Drem, Chiltern 68 on freight at Slateford, Yate, York, Penzance, Stratford, 92003 at Craigentinny in November 22’, Doncaster, Rail Operations Group European livery Andromeda, Aberystwyth, 67001 & 67002 together, 66109 Mossend-Tees Dock Containers at Peffermill, Merehead, Carlisle, Hams Hall - Mossend containers and DRS 66410 now 66746 (Royal Scotsman).

Stuart helpfully mentioned examples where locomotives had been renumbered and/or renumbered and reliveried.
