"Llandaff for Whitchurch" now just Llandaff (or Llandaf) looking 'down' toward Cardiff Queen St. At this point the 'goods' lines crossed from the west side of the line to the east side to reach Roath Branch Junction some 67chains past Llandaff station. behind the unit (to our right) the Llandaff Loop branched off crossing the River Taff and accessing the south (down) end of Radyr Yard at Radyr Quarry Jct. whilst the main lines seen here continued to radyr along the eastern side of the yard.

The route and timings shown on Six Bells Jct for this excursion, (GWS/WRC "Tintern Rambler" of 15/05/1971) differ as to whether the train ran from Radyr Jct-Radyr Quarry-Llandaff for Whitchurch or direct from Radyr Jct.-Llandaff for Whitchurch. Either way the train ran on to College Road Goods before returning and reversing at Radyr for a run along what is now the City Line in order to involve a reversal in Cardiff General. PS - I was 'spotting' at Cardiff General as the excursion passed thro' earlier in the day.

location: Llandaff
The train is standing on the down relief looking towards Cardiff Queen St. The next line is the up Main and the furthest the Down Main. the main lines run though the platfroms at the station and the relief lines to the rear. On the other side of the train was the junction for the chord to Radyr Quarry Junc.
