Q11.30. Railway equipment supplied to Russia by convoy in WW2

In the August 15th the Portsmouth News newspaper there was an article about the Russian convoys which took war material to Murmansk from 1941 to 1943. A retired Russian Naval officer quotes in detail the equipment which was sent, and this includes 1,981 railway locomotives, 11,155 railway wagons and 54,000 tons of rails. What were these locomotives, who built them, what gauge were they and what became of them?
