The dying days of the HSTs on the ECML are equally interesting and even more colourful.

FGW 43010/20 , EMT pair and the usual variety of LNER liveried units all active today.

I think the fact that it brought in new members last year effectively makes it successful. Life membership although initially expensive is a drain on resources and something that encourages membership at the opposite end of the age range. Without new blood, the Society is going to evaporate. The age...

The number of times workings get cancelled or start at any seemingly random time after that booked from Doncaster IEP, is very at odds with the absolute precision of timings of Japanese trains back in their homeland.
