Re: Wrexham to Bidston service improvement
(I responded to this yesterday but the message appears to have got lost - sorry if the same thing appears twice!). Does this development imply TfW services intermingling with Merseyrail ones through the central Liverpool loop? I can see 'interesting' effects on Merseyrail's performance statistics th...

Re: Sir Edward Watkin AND online recordings
Thanks for pointing out the recordings, the talk clashed with another I was committed to.
Could/should the RCTS put meeting recordings online, too? Obviously, edited to be just the main feature without the friendly chatter before/after. I think it would be a good idea.

Re: RAILWAY OBSERVER CHANNEL
Friends The December RO which is currently wending its way to you via the Royal Mail is I regret because of printing issues not up to our usual standard. Discussions with the printers have identified the problem and we are assured will not be repeated in the future. As the problem primarily affects...

Membership benefits
My October RO arrived today together with the AGM reports. I was interested to note half way down the Development Sub-Committee item that there are various member benefits available (e.g. books, film processing). Apparently the full list (quote) "can be found posted on the website". I've had a look ...

Eurostar services; Kent
One of the ramifications of Covid and subsequent border closures is that Eurostar stopped serving Ebbsfleet and Ashford in March. I have found a news article dated 31 March https://www.kentonline.co.uk/ashford/news/eurostar-stops-travel-from-kent-224888/ that could imply last trains that day or any ...

Re: On line branch meetings
I think you have covered everything adequately. I think there is a place for virtual meetings over and above branch meetings. It might be worth considering whether a single 'national' virtual meeting programme would be preferable to umpteen local ones that anyone can attend anyway. One lot of organi...

Re: Pre grouping & BR naming committee / convention
For clarity, by 'names' do you mean those carried on nameplates, or general class names?

Re: Stations with Short Platforms to Loose Services
Not clear from the article, Earlestown does not lose its service, just its TfW service. Other operators un unaffected (and TfW continue to stop to maintain the timetable, just no boarding or alighting).
