Re: CLAN LINE

A very successful and uneventful trip. At times the train was running well ahead of schedule, this was as a result of a clear pathway between Clapham Junction and Woking due to SWR industrial action.

Re: CLAN LINE

Another reliable run by Clan Line slightly marred by signal checks resulting in a 16 minute late arrival. The DL remained attached on the rear as leaf fall precaution but is was not necessary for it to be called into action.

Re: CLAN LINE

I am pleased to advise that Clan Line has passed the FTR for tomorrow's Surrey Hills, Pullman. The leaking stays in the firebox which caused the failure prior to the last run have been fixed and the flats on the support coach have been removed by courtesy of Selhurst wheel lathe.

Re: CLAN LINE

I regret to advise Clan Line will not be appearing on tomorrow's Surrey Hills Pullman as it has failed it's fitness to run.
This was due to leaking stays which was only apparent when the loco was in steam.

Re: CLAN LINE

A good run today in squally conditions which made for a greasy railhead. The DL remained attached to the rear as a leaf fall precaution but in the event it was not necessary to call it into action.

Re: CLAN LINE

A good day out to Stratford, with some excellent running, the main issue which caused delay to the inwards empty stock at Tyseley when it was wrongly routed into the goods sidings this involved some shunting resulting in the loco being handed back some 10' late after servicing by the support crew. T...

Re: CLAN LINE

A good run to Bristol and back, slightly marred by an issue with the water tanker at Challow resulting in a 35 minute late arrival on the down run, no problems with the locomotive.
