Several online articles quote people saying that prisoners were marched to the camp from Oldham Mumps station, so this casts a bit of doubt on the claim.

The DMSL car is that numbered in the 52xxx series, so in this unit will be 52499. That's good news for track and parly train bashers- wanted to do this a couple of years back, but leaving before 0930 meant our railcard discounted rover wasn't valid!
