Brilliant Members Week End in Bournemouth
Many thanks to that band of volunteers who organised such a brilliant Members' Week End in Bournemouth. The hotel was one of the best ever used for such occasions and the Ma?tre D was superb. The Swanage Railway visit celebrated the Exchanges 70th Anniversary complete with 6233 Duchess of Sutherland...

Re: Survey / Questionaire
This development is news to me and is quite disconcerting. Something is going on in the upper echelons of the society which needs explanation. A national survey should be to every member. Branches occasionally do their own surveys and that is fine. There appears to be a panic that 2028 will not see ...

Re: Free Membership for 2018
An interesting question here, but giving a freebie to existing members is just not possible. Look at advertised cruise holidays for instance. You pay the full advertised amount if you book straight away but later on when there is still some availability the price for that cruise comes down. Similarl...

Membership Data under GDPR
Can someone let the membership know what is going on regarding our membership data under what is called GDPR.
Most other bodies seem to have contacted their people so why not us??

Re: RHN Hardy
Yes, Dick Hardy was an inspirational character especially on Merseyside when he was BR Liverpool Divisional Manager from 1968 - 1973. He was a great supporter of the then Merseyside Branch.

Re: SOCIETY HISTORY
This is very intereresting as branches come and go as well as change their titles. In 1959 there was still a Lincolnshire Branch and for a few years after that I remember the former Sussex & Kent Branch. Branch titles change and membership can switch to other branches in the process. The Merseyside ...

Re: Members' Weekend and Officers Conference 2016
Having been at the Officers' Conference I can only say it was a satisfying event and Peter Hall should not be worried over those issues he mentioned. Our Society Chairman knows how to run meetings efficiently and effectively allowing those presenting reports time to do so. If a branch cannot find an...

Re: Members' Weekend and Officers Conference 2016
A very worthwhile week end spent in and around Grange over Sands. The hotel was a very good choice with views over the Kent Estuary and the outings were well chosen. The only disappointment was the after dinner speaker who was hard to follow and who perhaps could have given some outline on DRS activ...

insurance liabilty matters re indoor meetings
A question has arisen about insurance liability for RCTS indoor meetings - especially should any of those present be affected in any way because of any incident(such as fire) on the premises.
Any thoughts please??

Re: Members' Weekend and Officers' Conference 2015
Congratulations to all those who worked their socks off to make the Cheltenham week end such a great success.
The hotel played its part and next week it changes it owners to become a Jury's Hotel!
Grange over Sands looks an interesting venue for next year's week end.
