AS OTHERS SEE US

The item below was taken from Twitter. As promised here is an H Priestley photo of a RCTS excursion at Garthorpe on 24 Sept 1958 (well before your time!). A lively scene, clearly the RCTS were not confined to the platform like ordinary passengers. Both the RCTS and the LCGB were notorious for bad ?t...

There will be no change to the size of the RO in 2018.
There will be no change to the size of the RO unless a majority of the membership approve of the larger format.

John239 - you are full of ideas but do you want to become involved to see them through.

We continue to look for new volunteers so any help would be gratefully received.

Re: South Western franchise

Re: South Western franchise

I note that one of the franchise commitments is to increase the service to Windsor from two to four trains per hour. At Datchet, the last stop before Windsor; there are two level crossings. COMFORTABLE TRAVELLING?

I recall one of the columnists in RAIL stating that the passenger trains/units delivered since privatisation have been inferior in terms of passenger comfort and amenities to those delivered in British Rail days. Does anyone agree? These days the Cl.377 / Cl.387 offer a smooth ride while the seating...

STATION ROAD

Does anyone know of any towns that has a Station Road but the station has long gone and what would be the longest time after closure that the name is still in use?
