I am sure many will be pleased to know that I will not be able to make it this weekend! Plenty of cheering and applause I am sure when my apology is read out on Sunday.

For those participating in the various visits a couple of queries you might be able to solve where other avenues have so far failed.

Gloucestershire-Warwickshire Railway. Confirmation is required as to whether the two GWR design hand cranes are still present and if not what has become of them. These are:-

DW??? - L15 - 1908 6T http://www.ontrackplant.com/otp/L15
DW272 - 060980 -1944 Cowans 6.5T http://www.ontrackplant.com/otp/adw272

Dean Forest Railway - Confirmation is required whether Mark II TSO 5777 is still present and if not what has become of it. http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org ... p?Ref=3287

Has Mark I RMB 1803 http://www.cs.vintagecarriagestrust.org ... p?Ref=1129 returned yet from overhaul at the Llangolen Railway?

Comments on these queries welcomed.

Peter
From the Dean Forest Railway:
Mark II TSO 5777 has been cut up, with the bogies retained by the DFR
Mark I RMB 1803 has returned, and was in Platform 1 at Norchard.

Thanks to Nigel Farebrother for sourcing this information yesterday.

Sorry but no information is available on the presence of the hand cranes.
Thanks again to Nigel for his research at yesterday's visit.

Thanks to David and Nigel for their efforts over the weekend.

The difficulties in obtaining information about the hand cranes emphasises the difficulty in obtaining accurate information about railway rolling stock these days. This actually being one of the driving forces that has been part of the society ethos over the years. Those of us who compile listings for mutual benefit continually being frustrated in our endeavours. Perhaps too much reliance is put on web based information , some very good, some far from so. This though is a subject for debate in another thread.

Hope all those who attended over the weekend enjoyed themselves.

Congratulations to all those who worked their socks off to make the Cheltenham week end such a great success.

The hotel played its part and next week it changes it owners to become a Jury's Hotel!

Grange over Sands looks an interesting venue for next year's week end.

How many years into the future will it be when the minutes of the 2015 Officers' Conference will be made available on the website
? I note that the most recent minutes are those from 2012 http://www.rcts.org.uk/about/officers/p ... %20minutes with those for 2013 imminent!

Peter

Thank you for your (somewhat cheeky) post. Please email me directly if these are missing in the future.

Watch this space and they will be uploaded soon.
