If you go to the link below and enter "wadsley" (without the inverted commas) into the search box on the left you should get a list of dates where you will then find trains to/from Wadsley Bridge that have passed through Chesterfield:

If you google Sheffield Wednesday and the date you can find details of the game.

Further information regarding trains for the 1980 and 1981 F. A. Cup semi-finals and the website http://www.rcts.org.uk/branches/sheffie ... d/wbfootex updated today.

Kev, thanks for your tip. Have already been through the Chesterfield Observer and hopefully have picked up all the trains but will do again using the search you suggest in case any were missed.

1989 FA Cup Semi Final

Postby Peter Hall » Thu Nov 16, 2017 3:01 pm

Further details have now emerged regarding the four football specials run from Nottingham to Sheffield (Midland) for this match. We are though still short of a few details for that day.

If you have not recently looked at https://www.rcts.org.uk/branches/sheffi ... d/wbfootex please do so as three stunning pictures taken by Paul Braybrook have recently been added.

Further information is most welcomed.

Further information regarding the trains to Wadsley Bridge and Sheffield (Midland) including the DMU formations for the Sunderland trains has been discovered in a note book that belonged to the late Peter Fox, This additional information has now been added https://www.rcts.org.uk/branches/sheffi ... d/wbfootex

We are still lacking details of the trains run for the 1974, 12975 and 1976 Semi-Finals. Surely someone observed and made notes of these!
