Clan Line has passed fitness to run exam and is all prepared for tomorrow's 'Surrey Hills Belmond British Pullman'. We will be carrying a poppy wreath on the top lamp iron and a poppy on each of the headcode discs.

Another successful performance without any drama by Clan Line on yesterday's 'Surrey Hills' departure was on time, arrival at the Shalford water stop was 4 1/2 minutes early where 2500 gallons was taken from the road tanker. Departure from Shalford was 1 minute early, slippery rails were encountered as far as the Gomshall summit but the diesel was not called in to assist, the summit was passed at a credible 27 MPH and the second summit was passed at 41 MPH, speed reigned in the 70s through the Dorking area, there was a final fling though Streatham Common where we were doing 69 MPH, arrival back at Victoria was 1 minute late. Lots of happy customers came to visit the loco, many of them including the ladies in their finery having a cab visit.
