c2c sale

Postby pdeaves » Wed Jan 11, 2017 11:22 am

National Express is to sell its last remaining UK rail operation, c2c, to Trenitalia. Details on the NatEx website (http://www.nationalexpressgroup.com/newsmedia/corporate-news/2017/acquisition-of-c2c-franchise-by-trenitalia/). The Italian company does not have a brilliant reputation under Barbara Morgante's leadership (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Morgante.).

They must be in real trouble to do this.

National Express shouldn't have turned its back on British rail. It was National Express’s last remaining UK rail asset and the c2c line between London Fenchurch Street through south Essex to Southend was profitable IMO.
