Stalybridge to Stockport Parliamentary Train

Post by RichardCoulthurst » Tue May 22, 2018 8:29 pm

You may wish to try this some Saturday morning. With the new timetable the weekly Stalybridge to Stockport 'Parliamentary' train service has been switched from Friday to Saturday. It also now runs in both directions as follows:

Stalybridge dep: 08:46
Stockport arr: 09:10
Stockport dep: 09:45
Stalybridge arr: 10:01

The trains stop at Guide Bridge, Denton and Reddish South in both directions.

The first few days of the new timetable have been problematic on the Styal (Manchester - Manchester Airport - Wilmslow) line with many cancellations and delayed trains due, apparently, to a shortage of drivers. How is it going elsewhere?

That's good news for track and parly train bashers- wanted to do this a couple of years back, but leaving before 0930 meant our railcard discounted rover wasn't valid!
