2018
The RCTS Forum is progressing in membership and guest numbers, posts and topics ? let?s keep it going!
The preservation movement seems to be well organized especially with the way that new ?historic? locomotives are progressing.
The rail tour providers continue to come up with worthwhile days (and longer) out.
Television has given us a good year and there is even a Christmas special Paddington Station episode, and innumerable books and magazines continue to appear.
Unfortunately 2018 has not been a good year for the image of our main line railways.
Anyway, Seasons Greetings to all, with plenty of railway activity in the New Year.

Can I ask what you mean by this? I assume 'good' should be 'bad'!mikegayton wrote:Unfortunately 2018 has been a good year for the image of our main line railways.

Absolutely I left a "not" out. I started by trying to list the positives and negatives, but it was so unbalanced that I deleted it all!
