A German View of Heritage Railways in North Wales

Post by RichardCoulthurst » Wed Apr 28, 2021 4:03 pm

I thought you might like to see this documentary on some of the tourist railways in North Wales. It seems to have been made about 10 years ago but has just been brought to my attention.

https://www.swrfernsehen.de/eisenbahn-r ... 36530.html

It lasts about 30 minutes and covers the Llangollen, Snowdon, Welsh Highland and Festiniog.

The commentary is in German. (Do you know what the German for 'auto-coach' is?)

If you liked that there is a similar programme (again in German) covering some of the other narrow gauge lines in North Wales:

You can search Youtube for other German narrow gauge videos using the search term 'Schmalspurbahnen'.
