For those who enjoy the smaller scales, Immingham Museum have open days of their collection and scale models of Immingham (Sat 18th May and tomorrow Sunday 19th May 2019). Includes a working model of the large steam shed from the past too. Some visiting working scale models too.

Best thing about the museum is it gives a true understanding of the vast investment that was Immingham Docks in the early twentieth century and how it was almost entirely rail served. Good background to todays operations.

(The Humber Ports are now the largest such facility in the UK, sadly not all rail served, but with still a significant and growing import/export portal for the UK).

Museum is certainly worth a look.
